Q: Do you have Tenera or Supergene?:

A : We have Tenera Oil Palm Planting materials with high yield and matures in three years after planting. Each tree bears up to 24bunches per year. There is no such thing as Supergene. It is a marketing slogan.

A : How much is your planting materials?

B : Oil palm sprouted seeds: N50,050 per bag of 500seeds. Oil Palm seedlings: N500 each. Oil Palm seedlets: N250 each

A: How long before your palms are matured?

Q: Three years after planting.

Q:What is the fresh fruit bunch yield pattern?

A: Yield begins with 3tonnes fresh fruit bunches per hectare and rises through 18tonnes fresh fruit bunches per hectare at 12years after planting to 25tonnes fresh fruit bunches per hectare at 30years after planting.

Q: When do I plant your palms?

A: Between the months of April and June ending.

Q: Do you recommend nursery operators we can buy seedlings?

A: We only recommend Government Agencies such as the Tree Crop Units of the State Ministries of Agriculture, oil Palm Growers’ Association of Nigeria (OPGAN) and few Private Estates such As Saturn Farms Ltd.

A: No. Our transaction is ex-works. You arrange your transportation

Q: Do you have a relationship with a courier company or a cargo company to ship sprouted seeds that I ordered from your company?

A: Yes.

Q: What is the cost of establishing one hectare of oil Palm:

A: Current cost is approximately N301,000 per hectare by manual method in a secondary forest i.e.USD627 at N480 to USD1 exchange rate

Q: What is the difference between manual and mechanized method of field establishment?

A: When Land clearing is done by cutlasses and chainsaw, It is manual method but when land clearing is done by bulldozers, the method is mechanized.
